NEW BUSINESS
157 King Street – Removal of Retaining Wall
Assistant Corporation Counsel Rich Gentile initiated a general discussion of the issue of the retaining wall at 157 King Street. Public Works Director Tim Bockus discussed the town’s plans to remove the existing concrete retaining wall and to grade the land. The proposed easement would enable the town to complete this project.

seconded by Eric Thompson
to recommend that the Town Council approve the temporary
easement at 157 King Street.
Motion carried 3/0.
Two Parcels on Park Avenue and Main Street (Route 5 North)
Assistant Corporation Counsel Gentile initiated a general discussion of the two parcels on Park Avenue and Main Street and the history of the parcels dating back to 1998. Public Works Director Tim Bockus explained that the deeds are restricted to access from Park Avenue only, but that this was not problematic. Chair Russo inquired about environmental issues but Attorney Gentile said that the land would be open space and that the land was previously remediated. Attorney Gentile will present the Committee with further background on the environmental remediation at its next meeting.
No further action was taken at this time.
